ADVANCED - Inverter Testing
Advanced Interface Testing Document
Overview
The following scenarios are to confirm the the inverter received the limits and status from the BMS and will start or stop charging/discharge accordingly.
Assumptions
We expect that the inverter updates accordingly in less than 1 min
Testing Value Change in Batrium shows change in Inverter
make the following changes one at a time and the reset to original and see they resume
Using Hardware - Shunt - Metrics screen
1. change SoC% (i.e. 65% to 68%)
Using Control Logic - Thermal
2. change battery temperature avg/min/max (i.e. 23 to 25)
Using Control Logic - Remote screen
3. adjust battery charge volt target (i.e. 58.7 to 58.6)
4. adjust battery charge amp target (i.e. 50.0 to 45.0)
5. adjust battery discharge volt target (i.e. 48.2 to 48.1)
6. adjust battery discharge amp target (i.e. 85.0 to 80.0)
Confirm Charging and Discharging Correct direction
7. make sure measure current from BMS has correct polarity to suit inverter so charging/discharge is reported correctly. May need a firmware update.
Scenario whilst charging (i.e. battery actual at 54.1v and current inbound to battery +50A)
8. adjust the target volt limit to slightly 0.1v below the actual and monitor to see that the inverter slows charging to become idle within one min.
(i.e. 54.2v actual revised to target 54.1v)
9. reset voltage limit back and see that charging resumes
10. adjust battery charging amp limits to less that actual value and monitor to see that inverter follows recommendation with 1 minute
(i.e. if its 50A drop to 40A)
11. reset charging amp limit back and see that charging resumes
Scenario whilst discharging (i.e. battery actual at 54.1v and current outbound from battery -50A)
12. adjust the target volt limit to slightly 0.1v above the actual and monitor to see that the inverter stop discharging to become idle within one min.
(i.e. 54.1v actual revised to target 54.2v)
13. reset voltage limit back and see that discharging resumes
14. adjust battery discharging amp limits to less that actual value and monitor to see that inverter follows recommendation with 1 minute
(i.e. if its 50A drop to 40A)
15. reset charging amp limit back and see that charging resumes
